The Matrix: The movie 1999

I watched "The Matrix" today at a local theater. What I found amazing about this movie is what an absolute classic movie this is. It holds up completely after 14 years and I was amazed by that. In June of that year my wife moved into our present house on the coast of Northern California. But what I find the most interesting is that since then the talk of the "Singularity" has arisen.

So, now, "The Matrix" sort of takes on the condition of "The Singularity gone wrong as far a pods of physically unconscious people living in amniotic sacks tended by robots and living in a sort of Video Game reality that they take to be real.

What is really amazing to me about this story is how well even the story line holds up as a Technological version of what many see spiritually in many ways.

So, one could say, "The Matrix" is a technological way of expressing the "Spiritual Technology" that most of the world believes in every day. And this joining point has to be sort of a "Zen" Kung Fu, Judo kind of place that one finds in the movie. I could also relate to the Oracle because I know a lady a lot like the one in the movie only she is white and now in her late 80s who saved my life in the 1970s. She brought down the angels for me to see (even though I had been around angels all my life). But she did this so I could see that I could live with the angels right here on earth all the time (which I have ever since). This kind of things has meant I never needed alcohol or drugs of any kind to feel at peace and whole and even Holy in my life. So, in doing this she saved my life.

So, is "The Matrix" something everyone should see to know what a really bad "Singularity" could look like? Maybe yes. I think it depends upon the person.

However, I think maybe showing something like this in churches makes people pray more for a "Singularity" that isn't like this movie even though they might consider "Neo" a kind of Jesus and Morpheus a kind of John the Baptist anointing Jesus and the girl in the story who loves Neo a kind of New Age Mary Magdalene like one depicted in "The Da Vince Code".

Any way you look at this it is a movie for our times regarding what a really bad "Singularity" might look like. So, what we want isn't one like this.

Instead let's all create one we can live with and not be completely traumatized out of our minds and bodies by.
By God's Grace!
