When will computer hardware match the human brain? by Hans ...If you look at the above graph the likely answer is "YES!" However, more isn't beingsaid about this because it would still upset a lot of people. However, this likely isonly true of the most expensive computers, the Super computers. We also haveevidence of this in regard to IBM's supercomputer "Watson" beating all competitorsat Jeapordy, even competitors that beat out all other human competition for years. So, at that point we have evidence that a supercomputer was smarter than Any humanwilling to compete at Jeapordy on Earth. So, this should have been clue that not onlywas a supercomputer smarter than A Human but at least in regards to Jeapordy it wasand is smarter than ANY human willing to compete at Jeapordy. Now, we have computers that drive cars, fly planes and drive boats 93% better (most ofthe time) than humans do. So, what does this mean?Basically, it means what we as humans choose it to mean. In other words let's not beor become a victim to our creations. So, it means what we make it mean. Nothing else.Unless the human race is really stupid and allows themselves to be extincted bywhat they have created. But, be forewarned. There are now computers thousands of times smarter than anyone human being in some fields. This needs to be known by as many people aspossible so we don't accidentally move towards extinction one day withoutrealizing why.
