Did you know that a Solar Flare has the potential to knock out an Electrical Generating Station? Understanding that this happened in 1989 in Canada and affected Canada and the North East U.S. Power grid might be important to know about. Also, Solar Flares have made oil pipelines blow up so they have had to be redesigned in many cases so this doesn't happen again. Solar Flares often make GPS satellites turn upside down and become dysfunctional. How many people's lives in planes, ships, cars or while hiking have been affected by this?
Another fact that I find interesting is that Cracks in the Magnetosphere of Earth have been showing up since the early 2000s which makes Solar Flares much more dangerous to both human physiology and to electronic devices like Cell phones, Ipads, laptops, desktops and especially magnetic memory of all kinds. In other words in a large enough Solar Flare there might be no or little magnetic memory on the part of earth facing this solar flare left intact afterwards if it is a direct hit of earth from the Sun. So, only memory on non-magnetic media like DVDs and CD's and the like might survive this flare.
I was out to dinner on my wife's birthday with her friend who is married to the head of the physics department at UC Berkeley. I asked him about all this during the dinner. My question to him was where does Electricity come from? His answer to me is classical physicist talk which is: "Electricity comes from the place where it is generated from the generators that break magnetic fields into electricity."
However, this wasn't my question that I was trying to get answered, "My question was whether the electricity we generate isn't depleting our magnetosphere." He didn't think that was a problem. However, as an intuitive I don't think research into the relationship between the amount of electricity humans generate by breaking magnetic fields the past 100 years or so all over the earth and what has happened to our continuing depletion of our magnetosphere has been done. Or if it has been done governments are secretive about it just like they are now secretive about how much radiation has been leaked from Fukushima into the ocean from the meltdowns there.
So, likewise I don't think research is made public about Fukushima radiation and it's affects on life in the Pacific Ocean and beyond and I don't think research about what is happening to the magnetosphere of earth has been made public that much either.
There is a relationship between our magnetosphere and solar flares and I believe there is also a relationship between our magnetosphere and the electricity we generate by breaking magnetic fields.
It is quite possible that the only safe way to generate electricity might be through solar cells that do not break the magnetic fields that might affect our magnetosphere.
Because our magnetosphere protects life on earth from genetic mutation. In other words if our magnetosphere here on earth degrades any further we might not look like humans do now because we would mutate to something else instead.
This is why I believe our ancestors migrated to Earth because it still had a healthy magnetosphere 65 million years ago when the Asteroid Belt planet was blown up by a thermonuclear war that was proven by a 1970s Soviet Probe that went there then.
And also colonists to Mars won't be able to have healthy children because the Magnetosphere is too degraded there unless they live under the Martian Earth to protect them from mutating Cosmic Rays.
Also, just traveling through space or staying in the Space Station above earth means those people can't have biological children anymore. So, traveling to Mars in spacecraft is going to make those people Sterile. In other words they might still have sex but not ever any babies.
So, are we slowly ending the human race here on earth by generating electricity by breaking magnetic fields which degrade our magnetosphere which allows us to not mutate that fast? Maybe.
