Of Weakness and Strength

Conservatives are calling Obama weak because he isn't starting a war right now with Putin. One could call this Conservative point of view "Crazy" because that kind of thinking almost destroyed the whole earth during the "Cold WAR". Obama says he will fight Putin with Economic Sanctions. Will that work?

People are saying don't take a Baguette to a knife fight. I'm not sure what kind of fight this is yet. There are a whole lot of people with guns intimidating a whole lot of other people. But, both sides seem to understand one another enough that they aren't shooting each other (that we know of) yet, at least.

Is Putin crazy or delusional like Merkel of Germany might say? It's hard to judge really from a western point of view. What do Russians and Germans and other Europeans who have dealt with him up close and personal think?

I know Putin went through a divorce recently and this almost always is upsetting to someone, unless you see Putin as a married version of someone like George Clooney who maybe then got a divorce and kept dating young women ongoing like Putin has.

So, what do the French president and Putin have in common? They date a lot of women?

And how mentally stable is any man who dates a lot of women?

I used to be one of these men (from age 21 to 25) and I wasn't very stable while I was doing this. Mostly, I was sort of confused by meeting and spending time with so many women, one by one. Maybe Putin is confused in a sort of middle aged Crazy way too. So, maybe expecting more from him now isn't useful for the world.

I don't think Putin is crazy but he is definitely in a transitional stage in his life. And that is kind of scary for the rest of the world, especially for Merkel and Obama and for all the other heads of state around the world.
