You expect a lot of fun stories from movie actors and actresses on the red carpet every year at the Oscars, but it’s a whole lot less common for a TV actress to accidentally reveal a pretty big spoiler during the annual event. That’s exactly what happened during Sunday’s night’s pre-Oscars telecast, however, when Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner revealed that she is definitely not going to die in Season 6.

Wearing a lovely greenish-grey gown, Sophie Turner was given the opportunity to speak with E! News’ Giuliana Rancic. The two chatted for a bit before Rancic ultimately asked her a question about the upcoming Season of Game of Thrones. Discussing working her way through the Season 6 scripts, the actress noted:
Flicking through I'm like, death, death, death... I'm alright this season.

A lot of people have died on Game of Thrones during its tenure on the air. It’s not an unusual event on the series, so the first part of Sophie Turner’s quote is actually pretty predictable. However, Game of Thrones has notably cracked down on giving fans any sort of spoilers related to Season 6. And while some things—Kit Harington’s presence on the set particularly—have been revealed via people sneaking looks during filming, the show has done a pretty good job of keeping major plot points under wraps. In extension, the series has also gotten the cast members to give only light teases

Sophie Turner has been really good about only giving us vague information about what is to come for her character, at least until her Oscar slip-up. We do know that Sansa Stark is going to have a “big” season and will finally become the woman she is meant to be on the drama.
She, this season, really commands the respect that she deserves and she grabs hold of it and she runs with it and it’s really good.

Spoilers are a much bigger deal for Game of Thrones this year. In the past, Game of Thrones has not been able to be particularly sneaky. Sure, certain things have changed between George R.R. Martin’s books and the TV show, but, a lot of the big, overarching plots have remained the same or have at least been really similar. Season 6 is different. The sixth book, Winds of Winter, has not been published and avid fans are going in mostly blind. It’s no wonder the creative team wants to take advantage of the fact.

If you’d like to catch Sophie Turner’s slip, you can check it out, below.

One thing is obvious: that Game of Thrones poster featuring Sansa Stark looking dead in the House of Black and White is definitely misleading. Luckily, we won't have too much longer to wait before we actually find out what happens in Game of Thrones Season 6. Catch new episodes of the long-running HBO series starting on April 24. Check out what we know about Season 6.
