Here's the problem that I have with this kind of program. First of all, the people who actually know how to survive all these places on an ongoing basis like the Americans are flying into were raised there in a tribal setting. Trying to go in with survival skills learned on other continents isn't as helpful as one might think. Getting a little food every day because you have learned what to eat and what to save in a more tribal setting is how people survive better there.
Even though often these people make it more than 4 or 5 days most people don't, especially places like the Amazon unless they have been raised there.
