Putin

I was thinking tonight how Putin's way of thinking goes way back to

Leonid Brezhnev 

and 

Nikita Khrushchev

who ruled the Soviet Union from 1956 until 

Mikhail Gorbachev brought 

Glasnost 

and 

Boris Yeltsin

brought Democracy to the new Russia after the old Soviet Union collapsed.

It reminds me of how many Conservative Republicans still seem to think it is the 1950s and that nothing has changed in the world since then.

 

I wonder sometimes if people like Putin and the most conservative Republicans realize how many changes took place in the 1960s and 1970s worldwide and what social revolutions cut through literally all nations on earth. And that these changes are still reverberating even today even in "Arab Spring" and all the other social revolutions here on earth?

So, I wonder how people still live in the 1950s  or even the 12th Century when so much has changed?

I wonder where things are actually going now with 12th Century Muslim Terrorists with people who still live like it is still the 1950s along with most of the world which is much more progressive than all that?

Where are we all going together? Or are we just going to get crazy and nuke ourselves out of existence? What is it we are all going to do together here on earth?
