The Second Cold WAR?

Boy, doesn't it feel like 1945 to 1990 again? And that's really not a good feeling at all. Unfortunately we have another Stalin or Hitler in Putin it looks like. We watch the free democracies of the world prepare to move against him economically, at least, for now with economic sanctions. However, if we see Putin as a warlord like Stalin, Brehnev and Khrushchev then it is a whole different thing.

  Putin is old school like

Since this is the history of Russia and then with Hitler in Germany we see several components of similar thoughts and activities.
In Russia you have the historic addage of war: " If you push the bayonet in and there is no resistance keep right on pushing. But, if there is resistance, pull back."
This is what is presently going on in the Ukraine. If Russia doesn't encounter enough resistence in the Ukraine it will take not only Ukraine but all nations it can in the Eastern Block that it wants back with either tanks or anonymously with armies as secret agents without insignias (which in another time would get all these soldiers shot as spies).
Since Russia is obviously practicing Assymmetric warfare here, the western world is unprepared for this much like England wasn't prepared for the "Indian Fighters" that were all guerrilla fighters in the U.S. that would stand behind trees and pick off the English soldiers one by one from cover like snipers back in 1776.
Likewise, what Russia is doing is "Breaking the rules of warfare" again by using soldiers without insignia as spies who are not telling people who they are. So, on every level now the Second Cold War has no rules yet which is why the United Nations and the EU and even the Geneva protocols are all screwed up.

If what we are thinking is that Putin is functioning pretty much as a warlord then we must think "Genghis Khan", Hitler and Stalin (Hitler and STalin were both responsible for the deaths of literally millions of their own people as well as millions of others around the world.

A Warlord does not follow rules. A warlord makes his own rules and does whatever is advantageous to him. Any country that does not fight fire with fire will lose in dealing with a warlord. This is something for everyone on earth to think about before their country is taken over by someone like Putin.
