The world is changing

And maybe not in a good way. But Descartes saying that goes something like: "Nothing is so good that no bad may come of it and nothing is so bad that no good may come of it" might be the most appropriate thing to say about now about everything going on in the world.

For example, I used to wonder the last 10 years or so why more people didn't "Ooh and Ahh" as they looked out the windows of planes until I looked myself today and was sort of horrifed by what I saw. But still, looking at San Francisco and San Jose on a clear night an hour or two after nightfall was pretty impressive for me. I couldn't help but keep my eyes glued to all the pretty lights of the city below me. Then I was able to first pick out 280 and then 101 (two freeways) and then I fully knew what I was looking at and what exactly I was flying over and could pick out the airport from that.

But, the air pollution over the Pacific Ocean is going to change all forms of life in the ocean. Over fishing is causing millions of more jellyfish to survive which causes baby fish to die in droves in the tenticles of the millions of surviving and breeding jellyfish worldwide, which causes less fish to be able to fish for in the future in an ongoing vicious cycle.

People like Putin are doing what they are doing out of financial desperation for their countries and also because if Putin creates some crises then people are less likely to want him out of office (at least until he resolves that crisis or creates another.

Global Climate change is going to make rain prediction and drought prediction harder and harder worldwide which also means that crops worldwide will be less and less predictable because of floods which wash away all topsoil and droughts which dry up all topsoil which then blows away in a wind creating duststorms. So, both these problems are becoming worse and will continue to become worse this century all over the world.

Sea levels will rise and so Hurricanes, Cyclones, Typhoons (all the same thing in different parts of the world) will tend to flood deeper and deeper into previously non-flooded territories worldwide as well.

However, just remember to think like an opportunist because "nothing is so bad that no good may come of it!" This is how some people have always survived any calamity that they ever faced down through history. Be sure you are one of the survivors of all calamities and that you find a way to prosper and go on no matter what!
