If you have a limited amount of appointments that can be paid for and then you have too many patients to financially cover that then you have the real problem with the VA. Funding.
There is simply not enough money allocated to the VA to cover the needs of all or even some of the patients. So, those lucky enough to be taken seriously live and those who aren't considered (no matter their ailment) usually die sooner or later.
So, whatever Democrats or Republicans say, "They are not telling you the whole truth of the problem" mostly because everyone knows the Republicans and some Democrats would block the funding needed to actually take care of veterans.
And since that money isn't going to be available veterans are going to die no matter who is put in charge.
This is the sad real true story here. So, no matter who is put in charge nothing really is going to change because no one is going to create the funding necessary to make those changes work.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
