date of Noah's ark flood?

First of all, if we are to believe there was a world wide flood it would have had to occurred more than 4000 years ago. But, it also could have occurred 15,000 years ago too and just been passed down through the generations.

Also, it is important to remember that people didn't travel much then so them saying that the whole world flooded just might mean one area flooded instead of the whole world. So, what I'm thinking is that this was a Tidal Wave caused either by an earthquake or a collapse of a mountain into the ocean like occurs sometimes during a volcanic eruption when a cone collapses or flows into the ocean. So, imagine someone was intuitive and sensed all this coming like I knew 2 weeks to a month before the Loma Prieta Earthquake occurred so I flew my family to Hawaii and watched it on TV rather than try to go through it at UCSC where I was attending school then. Also, the epicenter of this quake was only 6 miles from where I lived then with my family in family student housing. So, I was glad I took my family and left the week I knew it was going to happen and instead just watched it on TV and no one died therefore in my family.

So, there were people who knew things like this back then too and so Noah likely tried to put as many animals and birds on his ship to preserve their lives. But they might have just been on a big Island like England or something like this too.

In other words for a worldwide flood to occur (I'm not sure this could actually happen by the way) you first of all would have to have both poles melted off, then you would have to have global Warming.

And that sounds more like Atlantis where they would have had Global Warming like now. And they likely had interplanetary travel at that time too. But, if water went over the top of an Island like England that star base would be likely wiped out at least technology wise.

But, that would explain why civilization had to basically start over from scratch (at the very least in the area this happened). So, basically the Bible is saying everybody died but Noah and his family. But, I'm thinking that isn't true because others must have survived from other races too around the world on the higher peaks, especially when you compare the altitude of Mt. Arararat to Mt. Everest, The Alps, The Rockies, the Andes, Mt. McKinley, etc.

So, I think what is described in the Bible is a more localized event and for sure other people survived on mountains around the world. This is likely the truth.

People in localized areas believe whatever they are told but this is ONLY true in that localized area.

And only people who lived likely in the Mediterranean area shared information about this so if it happened in the Mediterranean Sea then only peoples in this area likely would know about it.

Though it is also true stories can spread around the world through traders from camel trains and ships. But, the story received then would get garbled through translations unless it was written down and meticulously translated between languages by knowledgeable translators and even then only royalty would be allowed to read this kind of stuff because only they would be taught to read and write local languages at that time.

I studied Cultural Anthropology and Anthropology in General at one point so likely this is an accurate way to describe things using logic and reason as applied to cultures that we have studied during the last 6000  years or more and applying it to what is said in the Bible.
