I can't speak for the rest of the world but this generally is how it is in the U.S.
Liberals tend to be more highly educated and live in the biggest cities of the U.S. They are more likely to experiment with drugs, travel to other countries and be experimental in all sorts of ways.
Conservatives tend (generally) to live more out in the country, the are Christians and tend to go to church more regularly, tend to be armed with guns and other weapons more because they tend to live more in the country, tend to not travel to other countries (unless they are fairly rich or educated). However, this is all just generally speaking.
However, Liberals even though generally are less violent than Conservatives might be if they feel their livelihoods or benefits during the rest of their lives are threatened politically they might get violent during demonstrations at least. This is one demographic of likely what is happening during the Trump Rallys.
Trump is threatening to send Trump Supporters into Sanders Rallys too. However, on one level this doesn't make a lot of sense because Conservatives would be more likely to demonstrate against Trump than Liberals would be. So, all this sounds pretty crazy to me.
Also, rich Conservatives who want to defeat Trump would be more likely to hire thugs to mess up Trump than anyone else at this time. In other words the people supporting Romney's stance against Trump who are also rich like Romney and Trump but don't like Trump would be the likely ones to hire thugs to go into Trump's Rally to harm Trump's standing more than anyone else.
