The Russian River is predicted to rise nearly 20 feet by
Saturday morning after rain storms wallop the North Bay, potentially
causing minor flooding, forecasters said Thursday.
The Russian River at Guerneville was measured at 14.9
feet Thursday morning and is forecasted to rise to 34.7 feet by
Saturday morning, above the minor flood stage of 32 feet, said
Bob Benjamin, a forecaster with the
National Weather Service. Benjamin said that it “doesn’t look like it’s going to be expansive flooding.”
