The main reason would be that relatives and friends, especially older friends will be dying that often you were very close to in your childhood or teen years and 20s. So, unless you have someone who is your best friend to stand by your side through all this or children which also tend to make you stronger by taking care of them, often you just get more and more "Lost" with each death of a loved one or friend or both.
This starts to really get extreme in your 40s and 50s until now in my late 60s literally everyone I knew growing up in Seattle is now dead on the land I lived on with my Father's father, my father's mother, my Aunt and Uncle and both my cousins (all gone) from when I lived there in the 1950s on my Grandfather's 2 1/2 acres of Black Cherry trees, Apple trees, boysenberries, Raspberries and blackberries until I was 4 years old with my father, mother, and mother's mother.
Every single one of these people is now passed away since 2008.
In fact, in that one year when I turned 60 my mother, my favorite Aunt, my Father in law, one of my female cousins 7 years older than me all passed away. This was a really awful year for me and my wife as you can imagine.
So, the more stable a relationship you are in the better you can weather the storms of inevitable deaths of dear ones in your life ongoing.
The hardest death of all for me to bear was my mother who passed away after about 7 or 8 years of senile dementia. The last two years she didn't know me or my son who took care of her before we had to put her in a facility so she didn't burn her place down.
She had turned on the electric stove after we told her only to use the microwave and then set a plastic tupperware bowl on the burner. Then she saw the plastic on fire sliding down the stove to the floor and instead of calling us or anyone for help she just prayed it wouldn't burn the whole place down.
So, unless you are a big enough and strong enough person emotionally, you won't survive these kinds of things in one piece. So, having a good family structure intact with people that are stable that you can trust might be everything from about 30 to 40 on. Especially if you want to be alive and sane from about 40 to 50 onwards.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
