I was 21 in 1969

So, hits of the 1970s tend to hit me the hardest because I was 22 to 31 in the 1970s. Each decade has an effect on me. I found the other day that going back to who I was in the 1950s for example was a little disturbing. I think what it is is that my parents are now dead, all my aunts and uncles and grandparents are now dead. 3 male cousins, 1 female cousin, and 2 of my best friends from the 1950s and 1960s are now dead too.

So, when I now play music from the 1950s a part of my subconscious thinks. "Wonderful! Where are my parents and this is sort of horrifying that the 50 to 100 people I loved most in the 1950s and 1960s are all dead now pretty much. I have 1 cousin and his wife and family that I still am fairly close with and I have one friend that I first met when I was 14 that I began climbing mountains with in 1969 that I'm still close with and still travel to Hawaii to snorkel with he and his girlfriend and I still ski with them whenever I'm in Mt. Shasta. But, basically 95% of the people I knew and loved (whether in person or as actors or other famous people) are all dead now and I feel alone if I'm not careful in dealing with all of this.

So, be careful if you are in your 70s, 80s, or 90s folks and go back to visit the past because remember, most of your relatives and friends are now dead and you might have to deal with this when you listen to music of the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s or 1980s.

But, if you have  dealt with all of this already have a blast in the past!
