Why?
Because if they design the software for the FBI to get into the Iphone of the San Bernadino Terrorist they could be sued in individual suits by 700 million people on earth for designing this and have no protection from Apple as individuals.
So, in our litigious society here in the U.S. to design the software to get into that one Iphone you destroy the security of EVERY Iphone on earth and become liable for destroying the finances and security of the owners of 700 million Iphones on earth.
So, designing this software is a one way ticket to bankruptcy, fines and even potential jail time for damages and financial ruin not only for Apple but also for the individual software designers as well.
The complexity of this situation seems to be beyond the understanding of the FBI.
So, I'm thinking the U.S. wants to end all Iphones, Androids, and Microsoft Smartphones on earth.
I can see no other logical reason for insisting on this action.
Because once this software is written I'm throwing away my Iphone that same day because as someone who used to work as a computer programmer I know that an Iphone won't be worth owning anywhere on earth once this code is written.
It's pretty crazy it has gotten to this point. It might not have if our laws were slightly different.
However, if Apple doesn't protect itself from frivolous suits and if software designers don't protect themselves from frivolous suits they are all going to be financially bankrupt and homeless.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
