I was raised a Lacto-Ovo vegetarian which is similar to how many vegetarians eat in India. A Vegan does not eat Milk or Eggs but being a lacto-ovo vegetarian like I was raised you eat both milk and eggs.
There is something about milk products that gives one a sense of well being (if you are lactos tolerant). Those that are lactose tolerant genetically come from herders of cows or goats genetically speaking. Because what happens historically to people who come from herders is that during a famine the ONLY thing to eat left would be the milk of what you herd and the meat of what you herd. And this is how you came about when all the lactose intolerant people died when there was no food at all but maybe a little grass and water for your herd to eat.
The other thing interesting about herders is if they drink cows milk this often makes them taller than most people too over time. Because cows milk has an incredible amount of growth hormone in it. So, if you want to be tall be sure to drink a lot of cows milk because it will make you a little taller (maybe 1/12 of an inch per generation.) So, this is why some peoples are taller than other like my fathers family where the men are all 6 foot 2 1/2 to 6 foot 5 inches tall like myself. Originally we all came from Switzerland to the U.S. (6 brothers) around 1725.
So, milk, yogurt, cottage cheese and actual cheese (don't get constipated from too much cheese) can bring a sense of well being and even Bill Clinton has said not eating yogurt or drinking milk are the single hardest things to replace in a vegan diet.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
