An atmospheric river over the Pacific Ocean is set to bring several storms to the Bay Area starting Thursday.
The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook lasting into Monday, during which time heavy rain will dump from the North Bay south to the Monterey Bay area.
More than 2 inches of rain is on track to come down in parts of the Bay Area while higher elevations in the North Bay mountains could see a foot of rain by early next week.
