Trees coming down with flooding expected: Northern California Coast

I woke up hearing a large tree crash down nearby this morning. The rain got much worse overnight to where when I got up it was coming like rivers off the roof once again like last weekend. Our housekeeper arrived and told us her house was being flooded and that flooding is expected throughout much of counties around us as well as our own. Luckily, where we live is on the side of a hill so flooding is not a problem except water flowing down roads towards the ocean and storms bringing the ocean surf onto land and sometimes over paved roads and bringing seaweed and placing it on people's porches near the ocean.

We are lucky the Tree people came and removed the tree across our back fence before this happened. Other trees in that area may come down and he recommended getting permission from the county to remove our neighbor's trees that may come down next, especially one eucalyptus tree that if it came down might hit our building. In the last storm an old Cypress tree across the street dropped huge limbs onto the house next door and broke part of the roof to it and blew out all the power in one of our neighbor's houses destroying all their appliances when it went by frying their refrigerator, Big Flat Screen TV and everything electrical that they had on in their house. They were really mad at the power company that they wouldn't accept liability for thousands of dollars of damage to their electrical goods in their house. Because it was their fault for not correcting this problem earlier.

Beginning to hear a lot of sirens as weather gets more intense.

The storm is now coming on shore as far south as Thousand Oaks near the Los Angeles Area and then it is heading mostly in a northern direction but slowly drifting east now in Canada.
