Under the Atmospheric River again

It hit again tonight pretty hard like an echo of last night when trees went down a lot with water going sideways. Here is it again. What I find really strange about all this is today it was mostly sunny and my son and I hiked on down the coast and inland. The only things we noticed was one of the rivers was flooding and likely going to kill a lot of adult trees and wash them out to sea pretty soon which makes me now think about when a cement bridge was washed a mile out to sea in I believe 1995 from one of the rivers in northern California from all the down trees that built up under the bridge hitting the bridge like battering rams while the river flooded out a nearby Mall and Mercedes were floating in an underground garage at a bank then. Very Surrealistic! But, this could be another one of those very surrealistic times that you have to see to actually believe like then. At one point then all the roads were flooded in one section and there was no way out for at least 60,000 people or more but by air here in Northern California for several days. So, unless you were on board a helicopter or plane there was no way out but by boat or ship.

Now there is thunder on top of the downpour so lightning must be nearby too. At first I thought it was a tree falling but it went on and on like Thunder can.

Now the rain is coming off the roof so fast the water is completely overflowing our gutters and downspouts like a river off the roof. Amazing!

At least the power is still on for now.
