Worst part of Atmospheric river is hitting Los Angeles and San Diego right now

Worst part of Atmospheric river is hitting Los Angeles and San Diego right now. A severe thunderstorm warning is on until 9:30 am this morning there in San diego County

It rained hard most of last night here on the north Coast of California. I likely sometime today will go look at a local river to watch trees come down into the ocean from the last few days of rains.

No more trees came down on our property but tree people are coming to day to remove the fallen tree and to trim many trees in our front yard so the limbs or trees will not bring down power to our house. I'm sure many people are in the same position. Our neighbor is going to have the same tree people take away a fallen tree on his land too. Luckily, none of the trees or branches locally have taken out houses or power near us at least even though many have fallen.

There is also a strange weather pattern now north of Bakersfield where the atmospheric river is coming on shore and heading south to Bakersfield and then running up against the 14,000 foot peaks of the Sierras and heading north from there in a reverse clockwise manner and then out to sea and back down the coast again which is unusual. However, the weather hitting Los Angeles and San Diego and causing sever thunderstorms is heading East from there. We had thunder and lightning here last night as well that I thought at first was a big tree going down but as it boomed on for a long time realized it was thunder instead from lightning.
