Because it is in Trump's financial interests to do so. Trump doesn't really care what happens to Americans or America. He only cares about money in the end. This is obvious and always has been.
Unless you are blindly loyal to a fool you know this already if you have been to college and have had any experience at all in Critical thinking.
So when Trump believes what Putin says about Kim Jong Un's missiles and what those missiles can do he endangers everyone in the U.S. and around the world. On one level it won't matter if and until Kim launches these nuclear missiles and Washington DC and New York City are gone but in the meantime Trump not believing Kim could do this is just insane.
