Michael Phelps to race a shark during Shark Week

This seems kind of strange to me. Do they keep them separate so the shark can't bite him like Great White's might tend to? They are top of the food chain in the oceans.

Good luck, chum!
Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps will race a great white shark — and likely lose to it — as a stunt to christen this year’s Discovery Channel’s Shark Week, the network announced this week.
Discovery Channel released scant details about the spectacle, “Phelps vs. Shark: Great Gold vs Great White,” but Phelps stands to lose big, despite his 23 Olympic gold medals.

Even the fastest human swimmers can only hit 6 miles per hour. Great white sharks, on the other hand, can swim 25 to 35 miles per hour.

They also have 300 razor-sharp teeth. It is unclear if Phelps and the shark will compete in the same tank, but here's hoping the great white will be well-fed.

Sharks can swim up to 35 miles per hour. That’s six times faster than any human.
