THREE HILLS, Alberta, Canada -- Theunis Wessels is dedicated to getting his chores done ... and doesn't scare easily.
While many people will look for any excuse to avoid mowing the lawn, Wessels stuck to the task last week as a large tornado was on the ground.
Wessels' wife, Cecelia, took a picture of her husband with the tornado in the background and posted it on Facebook. "My beast mowing the lawn with a breeze in his hair," she wrote.
The photo quickly went viral.
Theunis Wessels tells the BBC he "wasn't worried at all" by the tornado, which was a little over a mile from his house.
"It looks much closer if you look in the photo, but it was really far away," he tells the Canadian Press. "Well, not really far, far away, but it was far away from us."
"I was keeping an eye on it," he said.
Cecelia Wessels said the couple's 9-year-old daughter was upset by the situation because her father refused to come inside. No one was hurt by the tornado, reports say.
