Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt ‘rekindle a great friendship’

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt ‘rekindle a great friendship’

Jennifer Aniston and her former husband Brad Pitt are reportedly enjoying “a great friendship” following the break-up of both their marriages.
Brad attended Jennifer’s recent star-studded 50th birthday party which was held at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood on 9 February (18). Guests included the actress' former boyfriend John Mayer, his ex-girlfriend Katy Perry, and Brad's ex-fiancee Gwyneth Paltrow.
However, all anyone could talk about was Brad’s appearance.
“Jen and Brad have been in contact for a while now. Jennifer said Brad was really there for her after her split from Justin (Theroux) – she’s told her pals he’s been a rock at times,” a source told Britain's Closer magazine.
“Brad knows her well and knows what to say to make her feel better. They had a great connection as husband and wife and it’s still strong as friends.”
Brad and Jennifer were married for five years but split in 2005 after he grew close to his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie.
The onscreen couple later embarked on a high profile romance. They married in 2014 and became parents to six children, both adopted and biological, before splitting just two years later.
Meanwhile Jennifer married The Leftovers actor Justin in 2015 after a four year romance, but they ended things at the end of 2017.
“Brad was the first to make contact with Jen. She understood he was going through a hard time and wanted to be supportive,” continued the insider. “There’s a great friendship between them and they appreciate each other’s advice. Following Jen’s split from Justin, Brad returned the favour and was a sympathetic ear.
“Jen’s told pals she loved Brad and their marriage together was mainly wonderful, so all this time later she’s just really happy to call him a friend.”
