My wife and I like to stay here especially if we can get a view room on the 4th floor of the yacht harbor there in Sausalito. If you don't know where Sausalito is travel north on Highway 101 over the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. It is one of the little cities to your right as after you go through the tunnel on 101 after the Golden Gate Bridge north. It isn't cheap but if you like a nice view and an interesting community to be in this is it.
Also, when you wake up if it is warm enough next door is Poggio's where you can get expresso and a Tosti with eggs, ham and fruit for a quick breakfast outside sort of European style, or indoors if it is cold.
