I must admit I own a microwave oven primarily because I'm a technophile. So, I was one of the first people to own one and also one of the first people, (if not the first people I knew) to actually own a personal computer. But then, this was 1978 and a TRS-80 from Radio Shack with 4 k of memory and a cassette tape recorder to save programs so I could reinstall them the next time I turned the thing on. I taught my older kids to program in the Basic Language starting when they were 5 years old with this thing so they could design their own games to play on a computer. This was about 1980 and after.
However, I do have friends that refuse to own a microwave and grow most of their own food organically on their 2 1/2 acres (anything like vegetables, fruits, berries and lettuce) so all they have to do is to buy more staples like rice and milk and things like that. And they stay very healthy doing this even though he is 63 and she is about 50.
And I have thought recently about getting rid of my microwave to extend my life and my wife's life by eating non-microwaved food which will be much more nutritious and healthy. But, I haven't done it yet. However, I have gone almost all organic including all apples, carrots and potatoes which are the big three you never want to buy anything but organic because the pesticides come into the flesh of all three of these and some others.
So, what I'm saying is that even though I know what a perfectly healthy diet is I don't Always do exactly that even though I could afford it. My father was a perfect foodist. In otherwords he studied the perfect healthy way to eat everything in the extreme. In some way it was a good thing. I grew up tall and strong and people generally didn't ever mess with me because I was always so tall and strong.
But, the other side of this I learned in my early 60s which was that type O blood is "Caveman" blood and since my father and I were both type O blood it is the worst blood type if you want to be a vegetarian because it is the most primal and ancient of all the blood types. And then there is one of the newer more refined blood types where being a vegetarian is actually a pretty good idea if you are that blood type as well.
So, to me, the whole thing is about balance. I've seen people get on really rarified diets that were pretty extreme to the point that they got so sensitive they eventually got crazy and died. So, there is something to say for, "A balanced diet" over a rarified diet. 1 1/2 years ago I realized I had been allergic to Gluten my whole life so I gave up gluten and it is now one of the reasons I'm still alive and relatively happy 1 1/2 years later.
But, like the title says, "If you are buying GMO foods since 70% of all packaged foods in the Supermarket have some GMOs in them and then you are microwaving that food, how to you expect to be healthy and to feel good in your life?"
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
