If you live in the Los Angeles area imagine the Sacramento River 6 miles less distant than Catalina island from the coast of Long Beach Basically. To imagine this you now need to look at everything from about Stockton to Redding 20 miles wide and realize 10 miles each side of the river completely underwater for about 6 months to a year including Stockton and all of Sacramento. This happened in 1862 and likely will happen many times again given historical research of it happening about every 100 to 200 years and other estimates are every 150 to 300 years. So, right about now we are ready for another one of these on a purely historical level right now any time after this. 2019
minus 1862
equals 157 years so far
So, the point basically is: Has Global Warming changed this aspect of California? Or do we expect more of these Arkstorms still? At some point?
