Remember this is down in town which is next to the freeway I-5.
So, it's supposed to snow on I-5 next to Mt. Shasta city every day some until Saturday. So, if you are traveling there be sure you have an all wheel drive or chains or snow tires. As long as I-5 stays open. So, Usually you might make it through during the day from about 10 am to 6 pm. That's usually the best bet this week, depending upon temperature weather and snow and black ice between Dunsmuir and Ashland. I think my friend who lives there said they expect 13 to 30 inches of snow just between tonight and tomorrow morning for example. But weather people are often wrong too. So, we'll see what actually happens. I put charts up below from Google for Mt. Shasta, Ashland and Seattle for the week to hopefully help travelers up Interstate 5 beyond Redding, California. The key words I used were "Temp in (city)" and that brought up each of these cities weather.
