Home to SF Bay area

I woke up in the middle of the night about 1 am and sat bolt upright and wondered what that was all about so I wrote a few articles as I was inspired to do. then I went back to sleep about 4 am and was woken up by a friend calling at 9 am and was a little upset because I had wanted to be up at 8 to get going. Then I went over to Subway to get a breakfast to go and a 12 inch sandwich to go so I didn't have to stop except for gas and rest stops. The drive I had worried a little about because I don't like driving long distances in the rain (unless it is in Oregon and Washington where people actually KNOW how to drive in heavy rainfall (Not like California where it almost never rains) so drivers get out of the habit of knowing how to drive in rain (I don't like being in the middle of an incident with novice rain drivers who get smashed up after doing about 3 360s in their cars on the freeways of California.

But, I have drive millions of miles now over the years so I tend to know what to do no matter what vehicle I'm driving, one of my own or a rental or a truck.

Today it was okay because there was mist between mt. Shasta and REdding around the bridge over the Dam and then another 20 minute segment of driving and then over the San Luis REservoir road over to Hollister in that direction and beyond.

So, most of the drive it was okay and the road wasn't wet.

What I found interesting was that some places wild mustard and some wild grasses were 3 to 5 feet high some places which was interesting to me because that meant they grew a lot just since I drove by almost a week ago going north. So, there likely will be wild grass fires from people throwing  lit cigarette butts out of their cars starting in about May or June. Since less than 1 out of 1000 people are crazy enough to do this hopefully none of the fires get bad and out of control. We also get a lot of fires from lightning strikes in this state too. IN fact, last night there was a really bad lightning storm (or good if you like them like I do) in Mt. Shasta.
