Looking at the Atmospheric river headed to California from South of Hawaii

To me, (now remember I'm not a weatherman) but the atmospheric river does look pretty scary about now from my present vantage point. I can see it stretching now all the way past just below Hawaii which is like I said sort of Scary to look at at this point because of what is happening to California now.

The weather map in motion shows it snowing as far south as Yuba city but that doesn't mean it's sticking it only means it is coming down but driving might be hazardous either way up Interstate 5.

Here in Santa Barbara it is supposed to start raining any moment now. My other house in the SF Bay area is under a flood watch for that area. But, my other house is also on a hillside so it is not in a flood plain but much of the area is so those places are worried now.

So, it's likely snowing pretty heavy north of Red Bluff now.

I-80 is open if you have chains or snow tires or 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive mostly.

During winter driving, carry chains in mountain areas and watch for Highway Maintenance
