My wife looked outside somewhere between 6 and 8 AM and told me it was raining here in Santa Barbara?

I had looked at the weather report before I drove south from the SF Bay area to Santa Barbara on Saturday. I noticed that either Wednesday or Thursday it was supposed to Rain? I didn't believe the weather because this is California (even though sometimes the monsoon storms off the deserts have been coming this far north during summers some years. But, usually they don't go any further north than About Atascadero or Paso Robles at the most.

Anyway my wife was right it was raining so I was glad I brought the shell to my hooded ski jacket. I didn't need the liner but might need the shell with the hood here in Santa Barbara After all.

Another strange thing happened in that I started to hear yelling between a man and woman somewhere nearby too around 7 or 8 AM in the morning at the motel here in Santa Barbara. So, along about 8 or 9 am the front desk texted my wife's phone telling everyone (through their phones) that police had arrived for a hotel room relatively near to ours. So, we realized that either there was a domestic dispute or someone went to jail (usually the man in these cases) where a man and a woman are yelling at each other.(whether they are married or not.

So, we drove out today to get some caulking for the house in Santa Barbara. The plumbers tore off the inside wall and it left a few holes on the outside of the kitchen exposed to the elements and potential bugs and stuff and so I bought caulking to seal these holes near one of the drain clear out locations on the outside of the house. It took some time at Home depot to find exactly what we wanted and needed. Also, if you buy a caulking gun often they don't work right and even if they do often it only works that one time. (Something to think about regarding caulking guns). So, I also bought two tubes of caulking after having a difficult experience with a caulking gun previous before we went to Home depot. by Tubes I mean the smaller versions of caulking that you can squeeze into place instead of using a Caulking gun.

The problem with caulking guns after a lifetime of experience (75 years) now is that they either jam up or it all comes out at once when you least expect it to. So, after struggling to use the gun, suddenly it all came out and I got it all over my hands and had to go get  a paper towel to wipe my hands off before I got it on my clothes.

Anyway, our housekeeper showed up and helped me caulk with the tube inside the house which was very helpful in solving our problem regarding caulking. So, we put a caulking layer first on the outside but then she noticed there were still some holes looking outside still visible so she helped me solve this problem.

Anyway, All's well that ends well.
