They had said in a local paper they were going to close Sunday but after today and tomorrow's hot weather they realized they likely should close Friday before the weekend instead. Today, while my 3 friends and I were skiing there, there were very few people there at all. Most people were skiing in T-shirts or tank tops. (I wore a flannel shirt over a T-Shirt and gloves just in case I fell down. I didn't wear ski pants because it wasn't cold enough. Also, if you fall with ski pants on at high speed the pants are sort of like a sled sometimes and then you can't stop. So, I prefer not to wear ski pants unless it is really really cold because of this. Because you never know when or where you might fall and you don't want to slide into a tree too fast (or at all).
Since we are all older skiers (50 to 72 years old) slower snow isn't that bad because you are less likely to fall. Also, less skiers also means less snowboarders which means you don't have to constantly be looking over your shoulder for some young snowboarder passing you between 40 to 60 miles per hour especially on the black diamond expert slopes.
Anyway, today and tomorrow are sunny and hot and Friday it starts raining the weather says. I looked at where the weather is coming from was kind of strange. This time it's coming north up through Mexico which is pretty unusual for going through California any time of year when it goes due north like this.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
