Saint Germain is one of the most practical beings I know of. If you can imagine someone codifying the Scientific Method for mankind as Francis Bacon you know you are dealing with someone looking at life sort of like a physicist or doctor does. In other words he is trying to create the best outcome he can for all beings in the past, present and future.
So, thinking in this way the human race might just survive into the future and not go extinct at some point.
