I am looking at a live radar map of the East coast right now and it looks like it is snowing everywhere north of Newark and Bridgeport as the two storms (one from the south and snow storm traveling over from the west to the east collide. The last 12 months seems to be different in the number of west to east storms colliding with south to north storms since last summer. For example, Hurricane Sandy was two storms colliding as well as this one here now. The big difference this time is that neither appears to be a hurricane but that might not matter because of the precipitation they bring along with the cold in the form of snow.
LATER: At 2:16 Pacific time (three hours later in East) everything north of Harrisburg and Bridgeport is snowing or will be soon on the East Coast of the U.S. And up to 4 feet of storm surge is expected to hit New York City and the Surrounding areas to the north and south in the beach areas. When I look at the ferocity of the storm from the south on Radar it looks like that surge might be starting to hit right now.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
