Religion-Some different people's views of what is really going on, even though in many basic ways they all are very similar. Most all are culturally based worldwide where they were started.
Science- Trying to make repeatable experiments so everyone can see that something is the way it is.
Philosophy- Philosphy is asking important questions about life both material and immaterial. Philosophy is the foundation of all the sciences.
Religion is the foundation of all cultures
Now days science and religion tend to keep to their own questions and answers. Though this works for scientists and theologians this doesn't work out very well for anyone else.
The Leisure to Practice- What this means to me personally is having the time to try to make some sense of science, religion and my own personal experiences all my life. By creating a synthesis of everything I have experienced and studied hopefully this will help others become more enlightened quicker so they will have to suffer less than I did and all the people who came before me.
One statement that I have found increases health and feelings of well being, "May ALL Beings be Happy!" By repeating this over and over in your mind it will increase your health and the health of everyone around you. The reason for this is that our subconscious mind is sort of like a 2 year old child. Once we are adults we are inside every age from conception to passing on all the time. We can mobilize the God Force within us to heal both ourselves and those around us by coming to understand the nature of the universe. One of the ways to come to understand the nature of the universe is by repeating the statement "May all Beings Be Happy" in your mind like a mantra. When you start doing this and keep doing this it creates a mode of compassion towards all life in the universe. So, this is useful to your own body and mental and physical health and it is useful to the life within and around all life as you pass by.
If you are open to a Buddhist version of this which is more involved here it is:
"May All Beings Attain Bliss and the Cause of Bliss
May all Beings be Free from suffering and the Cause of Suffering
May all Beings never be without the supreme bliss
That is free from all near and far all grasping and aversion
I do this a lot of the time while driving a car or walking or walking around the house or hiking or in my yard. It is incredibly powerful and changes the past, present and future.
The Buddhist ending which is sort of like the Christian "Amen!"
Is like this:
"By this merit may I become like all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the Ten Directions and the three times"
If you study what this ending means it literally means, "May I become like Gautama Buddha and Jesus and all the other Buddhas on Millions and trillions of worlds throughout the Universe in the past, present and future. And the ten directions are the necessary co-ordinates to travel space where there is no up or down.
Absolute up and down only exists places where there is gravity and even then gravity and down are different directions depending upon where you are on any planet, Star, or even Nebula.
So, once again I prayed for the "Leisure to Practice" to benefit both myself and all mankind starting formally around 1980 so I could share my realizations with those who wanted to grow and become enlightened or who were interested in what I am learning to help themselves and others.
I find my intuitive abilities and compassion lead me every day in new and interesting directions. Having the freedom many if not most days to research what God leads me to is an amazing experience and I believe constantly enhances my enlightenment and yours every day.
It is my experience that there is nowhere that God is not. So, understanding this "God is where you find Him, Her, The Being". So, if you find God in a sunset or blade of grass or the ocean or your pet or friend or significant other there is a saying out of India that I find useful:
"IF an ant is your guru, feed him!"
Hopefully what I have written here is useful to you and your families in some way.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
