On an Iphone or macbook pro or IMAc you usually have Notepad already on board. (I use this on my Iphone to take notes like what my parking space number is at the airport (i.e. what floor, what building I'm parking in so I can find my car or truck after dropping someone off or picking them up or long term parking for myself when I go to Europe or Hawaii or Portland or other places) so I don't forget it and stuff like this by the way or I write stuff on my phone when I get an idea while traveling or in a restaurant and want to write it down and keep an easy record of it for composing something in the future.
The new trick is when you want to quote something like an article to a place like here, blogger.com (blogspot) and then you try to run it through (compose) which is an autocoder which automatically writes HTML code for you.
Well. When you run code written somewhere else through it almost anything can and will happen to it, (that might be different than anything you might imagine). So, you can see how some of the articles have become problems that I have been quoting.
However, if you run it through Notepad on your macbook pro or IMac first or whatever, it might clean out the pictures and graphics (But) it also cleans up the text nicely for reading without completely crapping out your site for that article.
So, I'm beginning to think I might run some or all quoted articles through Notepad so at least my readers can then easily read the text. And if they want or are able to click on the word button to the site where I quoted from then they can see all the pictures and graphs that might be available there too.
However, it IS one extra step and could be time consuming BUT it will Measurably up the quality and readability of my site which is a plus for everyone.
However, right now I'm composing in Chrome so I'm not sure what it is going to do in other things like Internet Explorer or Firefox. You would have to test it out to see what happens.
Here are the steps:
1. find an article you want to quote.
2. Copy the article into notepad
3. Now Copy what is left in notepad to your blog site.
4. Make sure you have a word button or URL so your readers can find where the article is originally from. This way if they want to they can read the complete article with pictures and whatever graphs or anything else it has there. And also, you cannot be considered guilty of plagiarism as long as you have a Word button or URL that shows readers where to find the original text and article which gives credit to whoever or what company originally wrote it.
What happens in Notepad. I cannot tell you what exactly happens in notepad. All I know is that what came out this time for me was better than what I had posted to my site before. Because before the article's pictures were there but 1/2 of the print was gone at my website before I used Notepad.
Note: One more drawback I noticed which is that in notepad it is difficult to delete your copy there because of some mechanism that brings up a window whenever you try to delete a picture which is annoying. Also when you try to delete too much of the copy at notepad when you are finished with it it is very time consuming deleting. But, for me, I think I will still use this method to make my copy generally clearer and more readable here at intuitivefred888.
