I had an experience in the spring where my IPhone4 after giving me good service for about 1 1/2 years accidentally got run through the washing machine in my jeans in warm water. My son took it apart and bought a new battery for it and tried to fix it and after that it turned on it said "HI" and promptly died one last time to be no more.
Since an Iphone when I bought it was about 800 dollars over time on the plan I had I decided to buy an IPad instead so I got one of the new super high resolution ones which are actually better than HDTV now as far as resolution goes. I also now pay about 30 dollars a month for internet anywhere I can get cell reception. So, all the things (now on a bigger screen) that I used to do with my IPHONE4 I now can do all the same places with my IPad. And instead of using an IPhone for a phone (which it wasn't a very good phone anyway because my wife constantly said I sounded like I was talking underwater all the time whenever I used the speakerphone (which for me was about 95% of the time). So, the only truly good sound from me came when I was bluetoothing from my truck on board phone system through the Iphone4.
So, at this point I'm relatively pleased with using an IPad instead of an IPHone and often keep my IPad in my truck for anytime I might need it stashed away out of sight. I think this is better for me that worrying I might lose another IPHONE4 or 5 SIRI or something into the wash because the IPad is too big to fit into a pocket. I just use one of my older phones with a touch screen that is NOT a Smart PHone because ALL smartphones really steal away whatever privacy you might have left anyway. And I'm a lot happier now and feel safer because of this choice in a variety of ways after thoroughly studying and the advantages and disadvantages of the entire situation.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
