Why be a Generator of Compassion?

The answer is simple. In life you can either generate compassion or you can generate conflicts which tend to create small and large wars simply because of their being so many many people on earth. If you take it upon yourself to generate compassion you will tend to reduce the chances for war at least around those whom you associate with. However, all those who you associate with every day or pass by as you walk down a street or drive next to you in your car or truck, or train or bus have wider circles of associates. So, if you are being compassionate in heart and mind in a mindful way. Or better yet if you have learned through years of practice how to generate compassion in a way that it often heals hearts and minds as you pass by then maybe you should do it?

If you are an intuitive like me you might experience how frustrations are things. They are sort of like unhappy clouds of energy that join other unhappy clouds of energy and create newer forms of negativity. However, if as a child or adult you decide to be a Generator of compassion it is a very willful thing. It is like saying, "I refuse to kill in thought, word or deed." I choose to be compassionate so that more can live harmoniously on this world. So, I start by being compassionate to myself. Rather than be unfair or mean to myself I will cultivate a liking for myself. Once I can like and even love myself then I can start to like and love and be compassionate to others. We are all potentially kind and helpful beings. We are all potentially good beings who bring good things to earth and to the whole universe. By starting this I take responsibility for whatever I generate so that it is more likely something that will help both me and all other beings. And as these moments of compassion towards myself and others grow like a nuclear positive reaction of compassion around the world, we all find ourselves in a better world for each and everyone of us every single moment of every single day 24 hours a day from now on.
