Temperature is 3 degrees above predicted high at 72 degrees Fahrenheit

I was out weed eating in my front yard where it meets the paved street. So, I wanted to clean off the grass from large stones there so if anyone parks there they won't hit 1 foot to 2 foot high rocks when they park along the paved road somewhat near my house. I noticed it was overcast this morning so I was really surprised it got this hot. However, when I looked at a weather map it shows on radar like it might be raining  in as far as Santa Rosa to the north with more rain clouds on the way. However, with Radar you can never be sure in California whether the rain will actually reach the ground unless it is in the yellow to orange range of colors instead of just green because of the generally drier climate in most of California compared to the East Coast for example. So, it is sort of hard to know whether rain is actually reaching the ground and instead just sucked into the dry air even though the green indicates it is coming out of the clouds.

But, it's presently 80 degrees in San Diego which is also pretty hot for this time of year too. and 93.2 degrees in Palm Springs which is really hot for this time of year as well. It looks like all of Caifornia is in a heat wave which likely will melt a lot of the meager snow pack we will need later this summer as well. Las Vegas is doing something else with only 80 degrees because it likely should be similar to Palm Springs but obviously is in some kind of different weather pattern right now. The warmest temperature I have found inland is in Morgan Hill at almost 77 degrees that is near the SF bay area.

This might mean California might really be in for it this summer because not enough rain even to cover the fires with hoses and helicopters that likely will occur just from the dryness. The only advantage is wild grasses usually aren't more than a couple of feet high this year instead of 6 feet high like in high rain years which really get fires going in the summers all over California, especially from campfires or cigarettes not properly dealt with.
