Marriage is for protecting Children but it is becoming Obsolete

4 in 10: Marriage Soon Obsolete

It actually makes perfect sense to me that more people would tend to live together rather than get married whether they have kids or not because of the economy and of how expensive it is to get married. However, something is being left out of the equation. Marriage has always been really about protecting whatever children result from this relationship. So, my concern is for what happens to the children from these relationships. What are these kids rights? Who will care for them? Who will feed them and clothe them and will they be able to inherit from either parent if no one marries. Adults can do as the wish and as they please but if children are involved they should also be protected by society and by both the parents. Otherwise, society can break down and become completely dysfunctional long term.
