Figures don't lie but liars always use figures.
If you have ever heard lawyers talk they can and often do convince people that up is down and right is left and inside is outside and up is down and down is up.
Intelligent people can deceive themselves and others very easily. But, most of all intelligent people are good at living in denial, which women have made a career of for thousands of years by blaming men for all the evils of the earth.
However, men didn't create the earth or the problems upon it, they are just trying to find ways to survive the situations they find themselves in.
So, who is right?
Men or women?
In a way neither is right and neither is wrong.
They are both trying to survive a world that is difficult to survive in any way they can.
And each have developed different survival strategies (at least the ones who choose to survive in this difficult world).
When I grew up I was told, "Honesty is the best policy". What does that mean?
Often you might might people who aren't completely whole mentally and they might be honest about everything in their lives and you might think, "How Quaint to meet someone who is totally honest" because most people couldn't survive like that unless they had someone to protect them which most of these people might have like parents or a brother or a sister, aunt or uncle to protect them from the cruel world around us.
My best example of this is when I was 18 years old and I thought it would be fun to be a Telephone lineman and to climb telephone lines because I liked climbing trees. I was also thinking about going to college in the fall because people had told me that would be a good thing too.
So, I went I think it was to Bell Telephone in my area to apply for a job as a telephone lineman. They sent me to a doctor to be interviewed. The form said, "Have you ever had any of these diseases?"
One of the diseases was epilepsy. I had had childhood epilepsy so I wondered what I should say. So, I checked the one that said epilepsy. The doctor said, "OH. You cannot be a telephone lineman if you ever had epilepsy." I said, "But, I haven't had any seizures at all since I was 15 and it was only childhood epilepsy. I climb trees all the time and I have climbed 30 foot ladders all the time and even been shocked electrically while working summers for my father high on ladders and have survived it."
The doctor didn't care what I had to say. In the ignorance of those times 1960s the fact that I had ever had an epileptic seizure meant that I could never be a telephone lineman, case closed.
I realized I wasn't going to speak about my seizures during the rest of my working life anymore, otherwise I was never going to get a job because people were so ignorant then. And that's basically my decision and the main reason I have been so financially successful ever since. Because people were ignorant about childhood epilepsy and I just had to survive their ignorance of it any way I could.
Childhood epilepsy I have learned from my son who got a Bachelor's degree of Science in Nursing is getting a head injury as a child and as your skull grows the pressure on your brain reduces so by about 15 or 16
the pressure leaves your brain and you will have no more seizures at all ever.
However, hereditary epilepsy one has for life and one never grows out of this. However, the world was completely ignorant of these facts when I was growing up still. This was true of a lot of things in life that people were completely ignorant about then and many things like this are still true.
There are things like this still true in civilizations around the world and unless one finds ways to defend their lives their lives are over even before they begin.
One of my favorite stories about stuff like this was Yeager, the guy who first broke the sound barrier in a jet plane. The day before he was to break the sound barrier he hurt his arm really bad horse back riding in the desert with his wife but didn't want to tell anyone about it. So, he had a crew member cut a piece off a broom handle so he could get into his plane hanging from the belly of a B-52 with his damaged arm like it was. Once he had opened the hatch and got in at altitude the plane was dropped and he broke the sound barrier for the first time likely with a broken arm. He didn't tell anyone he was injured because he didn't want to lose his opportunity to break the sound barrier. So, he was the first one to break through the sound barrier with likely a broken arm. This man had guts and had also been a World War II Fighter Pilot before he broke the sound barrier in a jet plane. He was the first known person to survive doing this.
