Learn compassion for yourself and then Compassion for others

The reason the first person each person usually needs to be compassionate to is themselves.

Otherwise, you are your worst victim and then all the people around you are your victims too. So, not only are you incredibly miserable to the point where you want to die or kill yourself, you are also making everyone around you miserable too.

So, the first step in learning compassion is learning compassion for yourself. Once you have learned to develop compassion for yourself you likely will begin also to develop compassion for others.

The first step in this is: "I am Suffering!"
The second step in this is: "Everyone is suffering!"

The third step is realizing: "We are all suffering together!"
The fourth step might be: " All my human family are all suffering together!"
The Fifth step might be: "All creatures big and small are all suffering together!"

So, your first reaction to all this is you might cry or be very angry about all this or you
might be afraid at this realization. Any or all the above emotions you might have.

However, if at this point you don't run from the truth you will start to develop compassion
and sympathy not only for yourself but for all life everywhere.

Then if you are practical you will see that developing compassion for yourself will not only help you
be happy but it also will help all others around to you to be happy as well.

If people are abusing you and you are over 16 or 18 years of age, go somewhere else where people are not abusing you anymore. And work and contemplate how to develop your compassion for yourself and all mankind.

Pretty soon very likely your physical and mental health will increase and you will likely become more financially successful and happy in your life. People will like you more because you have learned to like yourself. You will tend to be around more people who like and have integrity with themselves. You all might get together and travel, work or go to school together. You might find someone or a group of people you want to live with or be around.

Life becomes better in all ways once you begin the process of developing compassion for yourself and all other beings as long as you separate yourself from people harming you or causing you to harm others or both.
