Hillary Clinton did not break the letter or spirit of the laws by using a personal email account as secretary of state

Mostly what is happening is political by the far right to sabotage Hillary Clinton's 2015 Presidential bid.

So, likely in real life it went like this:

She liked using her personal email account rather than a government account because it was likely less likely to be hacked, first of all.

Here are the rule changes:

2009 (when Hillary became Secretary of State)
Rule change requires backup from personal email accounts

2013 (when Hillary stepped down as Secretary of State)
Employees generally shouldn't use private email for official business

2014: after Hillary left office as Secretary of State:
No personal emails for official business unless also on government email

So, Hillary didn't violate the letter of the law at any point or even the spirit of the law at any point.

So therefore, this is a political snow job against Hillary by Republican Conservatives who don't want a woman (likely ANY woman) to become president of the United States.
