reprint of Word button to: Spinner Dolphins

I noticed several people reading this (likely contemplating going to Hawaii and taking the big Zodiac type of inflatable boat with center hull (open boat) with awnings that takes about 50 snorklers at a time quickly from Lahaina, Maui to Lanai for snorkling.

Right now it is high Season in Maui until about April when it starts getting a lot hotter there and then because of the heat there are less tourists at those times from May on until about October.(unless people are younger and can withstand a lot of humidity and heat at the same time from the mainland).

When I first went from the San Diego area where I lived then and moved to Hilo, Hawaii in 1974 with my wife and baby son then in August 1974 it was so hot and humid I wasn't sure I could make it then without air conditioning then for the first few days. I felt like I was underwater in a hot tub and going to pass out. I made it through the first few days by putting ice on the back of my neck and on my wrist until I could adjust to Hilo, Hawaii temperatures and high humidity.

Being at the south of the Hawaiian islands, during the summers Hilo and Kona are two of the hottest places on the islands during the summers. If people want it to be more like California they live at higher altitudes like In Makawao on Maui and higher elevation communities on the big island of Hawaii.
