People who tell you the economy is going to collapse are usually out to make a buck

More and more I see people predicting gloom and doom and if you believe them it is unfortunate.

Let me tell you about myself in 1980. I was one of those who believed the U.S. economy would collapse. I was in the mind frame of a survivalist. The unemployment nationwide in the early 1980s hit 10% which it hasn't done but once since then when we were in the midst of the Great Recession a few years ago.

But, what I got wrong is how important the U.S. was to all the developed and developing countries on earth. At that time after the Bleeding out financially Viet Nam War of all of America's resources I thought it meant our economy would collapse. But, what happened instead is countries that were not in the Viet Nam War loaned us money here in the U.S. and we were just fine by about 1985 to 1992 when Clinton took office. But then, when Bush got in and 9-11 happened we were totally screwed once again and the Great Recession showed us that.

Will we collapse in another Great Depression eventually?

I don't think so because the rest of the world would be so awful that they would do almost anything to prevent a U.S. collapse right now because literally we are the only Game in town.

So, people who tell you the economy is going to collapse might be selling you a bill of goods.

Unless they are trying to create an economic collapse in order to profit from your suffering.

Something to think about.
