Majority Rule: One of the causes of ISIS?

Your question likely would be: "How could European and American and democratic thoughts worldwide of "Majority rule ever have helped cause ISIS?

Yes. This is how it happened. First Bathists in Iraq who were minority ruling Sunnis subjagating Shias were overthrown along with Saddam Hussein there during the U.S. invasion of Iraq in I believe either 2002 or 2003. This upset the balance of power there because all officers above lieutenant or Captain in Iraq then were Sunni. Only soldiers of Sargent or below were allowed to be Shia. So, when Majority rule came to Iraq from the U.S. and the power shift went to Shias aligned with Iran there was hell to pay from the Minority Sunnis all across Iraq and the officer core of the Saddam Hussein army (many of them) now are Sunni ISIS Generals, Colonels, Majors, Captains and Lieutenants and likely were instrumental in scaring Shia line soldiers into abandoning their U.S. military Tanks, humvees etc. so ISIS could have an use them. IN other words this same officer core to a greater degree than you might think helped create the panic among Shia line soldiers which caused them to abandon billions of dollars of equipment which has resulted in the horror movie type of situation we have seen since then in Iraq and Northern Syria.

This is one reason why Iranian Generals and officers and equipment led the Shia Militias in to take back Tikrit because the Iranian Generals often were battle hardened Generals from the War between Iraq and Iran during the 1980s. So, likely the higher brass in the Iranian army are veterans as lieutenants and Captains during the 1980s war or their relatives were. So, the leaders would have been battle hardened and tested during that horrific war.

Then the second Majority Rule issue for ISIS is after having to give majority rule to the Shias and that the Sunnis were not automatically given the same majority rule in Syria because of Assad, Russia and Iran. Not only were Sunnis not given Majority rule (even though this is what most of the world wanted for them including Europe and the U.S.) the stance of Russia, IRan and through them Hezbollah has been very vexing for Sunnis in general. And to add severe insult to injury regarding majority rule, over 200,000 Syrians have been killed in this and 14 million children seriously harmed with most not being fed properly or being properly educated or protected either. So, in this sense these two aspects of majority rule helped create ISIS and it's funding.

So, for people to think that ISIS came up out of nothing without actual serious grievances is not true.

But, if those actual grievances are not met in some way, shape or form, even if ISIS was done away with completely, if those issues were not dealt with in some useful way this will all likely get at least 10 times worse than it presently is.

My question would be: "Are Iran and Assad going to survive the wrath of 1.1 Billion Angry Sunnis worldwide as well as the funding of ISIS by about 10 to 11 million of the 1.1 Billion very angry Sunnis.

However, it is also true that ISIS has to be the single most horrific terrorist Army and Group outside of Hitler in the last 100 years and thousands and thousands of people have died because of them during the last year or so worldwide. And unfortunately it's not over yet.

Also, since ISIS is killing literally everyone eventually who isn't extremist Sunni of their brand the whole world now wants to do whatever it takes to destroy and end ISIS permanently. I don't think there is even one nation on earth that can afford to be in favor of ISIS without being potentially over thrown as a government at this point.
