The Paradoxical Alliance between the U.S., Saudi Arabia and most or all Sunni muslim countries

The talks have been billed as an opportunity for the new leader of the United States' top Arab ally and the birthplace of Islam to meet his peers for in-depth discussions after cursory initial meetings last month when they paid condolences over Abdullah's death.

Egypt's Sisi meets new Saudi King to discuss Middle East crises

To really understand the alliance between Western powers like the U.S., England and Europe with Saudi Arabia and other Sunni Muslim ruled countries you likely would have to go back to "Lawrence of Arabia" whose work helped create the Saudi Arabian state with British Help.

Lawrence of Arabia is a 1962 British drama film based on the life of T. E. Lawrence. It was directed by David Lean and produced by Sam Spiegel through his British ...

By either watching the movie or studying T. E. Lawrence's short life you get a vague idea of how we got here today in regard to Saudi Arabia.

So, the western Alliance between Saudi Arabia first with Great Britain and then with the United States and other European powers started during World War I I believe.

Then as oil was found and developed there the Saudi Royal Family benefitted greatly from this discovery. Because it was the single biggest oil field source on earth (outside of shale oil) and since no one is finding other deep wells much that are financially useful because of drilling and oil gathering costs, Saudi Arabia is a very useful ally for the whole world that wants oil and low prices.

However, then we have Wahabi Sunni which is a sect of Sunni popular in Saudi Arabia which is the basis of what ISIS also believes (according to ISIS).

So, here is where the paradox starts to come into the picture.

So, if to a Wahabi Sunni devotee anyone other than a wahabi is an idolator and an infidel that must be killed, where does that leave all the Shia Muslims, all the Christians and people of any other or of no religion at all here on earth?

This is the real paradox of a western alliance of Saudi Arabia with Europe, the entire Western World and the U.S.

Because even though the Saudi Government doesn't entirely endorse this point of view many or most citizens of Saudi Arabia do.

So, for example, ISIS wants to overthrow EVERY Middle Eastern Government right now, every Shia government and every Sunni government and Israel.

In fact, ISIS believes that the western alliance will kill all of the ISIS soldiers and the last 5000 ISIS soldiers will surround Jerusalem and then Armageddon (the end of life on earth will begin).

So, this is even more paradoxical and confusing in regard to Saudi Arabia, other Sunni governments, Wahabi ism etc.

So, what do we in the western world make of all this???

We don't live there therefore we don't really understand the last 2000 to 6000 or more years of what actually has been happening there in the Middle East. I'm not even sure most people today living there actually understand all this very well either.
