Kindness and Compassion are the Basis of Civilization

Kindness and Compassion are the Basis of Civilization

Overpopulation and lack of resources are the Basis of all Wars and Conflicts

Understanding this, civilization becomes trying to balance kindness and compassion

against overpopulation and a general lack of resources

The problem becomes "What do you do when you teach your children kindness and compassion
but there are no longer enough resources to live?"

"Do you send them to war to die then?"

This is the paradox of life on earth.

Individually, it is better to teach children kindness and compassion in school.

But then, we train some of those children to fight and kill so some groups of people (countries)
can survive better.

But then, other poorer countries mostly cannot survive.

Therefore some countries are more equal than others because of real or perceived wealth.

This then means that many more children in less developed countries will die from starvation or a
lack of education.

However, there really isn't enough food to feed everyone now and the more people alive the more other species will go extinct even eventually humans.

So, as a group, how can we teach kindness and compassion ONLY for humans when the kindness and compassion of humans for each other is NOT compassionate to all the other species on earth who are going extinct?

And don't we realize that as our overpopulation and Global Warming drives all other species extinct that we are next sort of like the large dinosaurs when the asteroid hit the gulf of Mexico 65 million years ago?

So, maybe "Think Globally but act locally" is more useful for all the educated people on earth than some people might think.

Because it is a way for the human race and as many other species as possible to survive the next 1000 years here on earth and beyond.
