Westfield Valley Fair Mall is a pretty interesting place

I got to thinking about this this morning. I wanted to write  but I had to jump in my car and pick up my wife's friend and drive my daughter to the airport. Along the way after we dropped of my daughter off at the airport to fly back to college after her spring break we went to Valley Fair mall

see Valley Fair Parking Updates. New ... The easiest way to find CPK during mall construction is to park in front of Stevens Creek and come in next to Macy's OR park ...
I don't think I've seen a mall like this with valet parking and Prada and Macy's and Tiffany's and many other exclusive stores very much. It reminded me in it's own way when my family and I took the TGV  (bullet type of train) to Nice from Paris at around 200 plus miles per hour faster than it takes to drive to Paris Airport, park your car, pay for parking, go through security and get on the plane and then do the reverse in Nice. But then we went to Monaco and then there were Rolls Royce Dealerships and Lotus Dealerships and Bentley Dealerships and the like. And when we rented a Diesel Mercedes in Nice to drive there we had to drive past hundreds of business jets owned by the people visiting or living in places like Monaco from all over the world at the Nice Airport. So, this has been the only place that reminded me that more millionaires live in Silicon Valley now than anywhere else on earth in this high a concentration anywhere.

So, sorry about the digression I was a little blown away by this experience and then since 1/3 of the parking is down for repair there was literally nowhere to park for 1/3 of the people that wanted to shop there. So, after looking for a parking place for about 1/2 hour I got smart and parked on a side street almost 1/2 mile away after dropping off my wife and her friend that wanted to go shopping and walked over to pick them up. Also, I saw my first Microsoft Store (similar to an Apple Store) right across from the Apple store in the same mall. However, this mall is a real labyrinth so if you go there on foot don't get lost it is really  easy to. For example, after my wife bought some stuff in Nordstrom's with the sales lady all excited to meet my wife who has literally traveled all over the world during her life, I got us lost because I missed a turn myself and my wife had to ask a guy in Prada's where the heck we were. Finally when he directed us back to the Microsoft and Apple store I saw someone dressed up as an Easter Bunny taking pictures with children so I finally knew where I was so I could get back to where I parked the car.

So, when we returned home I realized I just had an experience I was completely unprepared for (and then we realized we just put our daughter on a plane back to college and weren't too happy about missing her again either). But, if you are ever in the area you might have quite an experience (if they fix the third parking structure and you can find a place to park or if you want to pay a valet to park your car).
